Known for its attractive colors and exquisite taste, Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum) is seasonal fruit rich in sources of nutrients, antioxidants and other beneficial compounds. Its name was derived from the Malay word “rambut” which means “hairy” – a suitable description for this fruit. The fruit is oval shaped with a single seed.

To capacitate partners from the Local Government Units (LGUs) and cassava growers regarding Good Agricultural Practices for Cassava and Cassava Quality Standards the Training Course on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for Cassava was conducted on June 25-27, 2019 at Odiongan, Romblon with 25 AEWs and farmer participants.
A farmer to farmer. This was the concept of the Training on Organic Production Technologies conducted at DosFourDos Farm, Aborlan, Palawan, one of ATI Learning Sites.
While the idea or concept is great, the transfer of technology depends on the enthusiasm of the participants to apply what is learnt after the training. Sometimes, the objective of one endeavor doesn’t always equal the reality.
Finally! Farmers Organization for Rural Upliftment of Mindoro (FORUM) has finally completed the four (4) Phases of Internal Control System (ICS).
ICS is the part of a documented quality assurance system that allows an external certification body to inspect such individual or group whether they have a well-functioning system and followed the standard set by the certifying body.
At last! After its 16 airings, School-on-Air (SOA) under Livestock Program themed “OinK na OinK sa Pagbababuyan” was culminated on June 20, 2019 at Manna Training Center, Tabon, Quezon, Palawan.
