ATI-Caraga promotes Agri during Information Caravan

BUTUAN CITY- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 joined the Information Caravan in Butuan City on March 21, 2019.

With a theme “Kabataan sa Agrikultura para sa Bayang Masagana”, Junior and Senior High School Students showed their interests on the topics through a lively participation during the open forum. Around 1,000 of them joined in.

The caravan is part of the Department of Agriculture (DA’s) campaign to make agriculture cool to the young ones. Inspiring them to engage farming and take agriculture course by educating them on the opportunities awaits for them in the Agri and Fishery sector.

Students learned new ways and updated farming technologies during the caravan.

Personnel from the DA-Regional Field Office 13, Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice)- Agusan Experiment Station and Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) served as the resource speakers in the said activity.

ATI-Caraga showcased Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials and other promotional displays related to agriculture. Staff also accommodated students on their queries during the exhibits.

Said activity is in coordination with the DA, ATI and other DA Line Agencies.

Indeed, it was a successful one.
