GIGAQUIT, Surigao del Norte – To strengthen the promotion of using Rice Crop Manager (RCM) in Caraga Region, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 held a one-day RCM Technical Briefing on March 13, 2019.

Seventy-five (75) farmers from the different barangays in Gigaquit, SDN were lectured on the importance of following the PalayCheck System in their farms.

Moreover, they were also given with RCM recommendations based on an interview done on the same day.

Cecil Sol, Provincial Rice Coordinator, encouraged the farmers to follow the recommendations given to them because it will help them increase their production by spending less through using the right amount of fertilizer and putting it at the right timing.

The activity was attended by Hon. Alex Natad – Sangguniang Bayan for Agriculture, Gilda Bersabal - Municipal Agriculturist, other Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) staff and representatives from the Provincial Agriculture Office of Surigao del Norte.
