LOS ANGELES, Butuan City - The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will be conducting a 3-day training on organic vegetable production on February 6-8, 2019 at ATI Caraga Training Hall, Los Angeles, Butuan City.

There will be thirty (30) participants comprising Peoples’ Organization (PO) members, Rural Improvement Club (RIC) members and farmers from Bacuag, Surigao del Norte who will be joining in the said training. This is under the funding of the Gender and Development (GAD) program.

This aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants through technology intervention on organic vegetable production. Let them appreciate the importance of organic vegetable production and enumerates its cultural management practices. Participants will be encouraged to demonstrate the preparation of organic fertilizer production during the session.

There will be farm visits during the training specifically to those farms who produced organic vegetables.

This served as a response of ATI Caraga on the consultative meeting conducted last C.Y. 2018 as requested by the Municipal Agriculture Office of Bacuag, SDN.
