NC II takers seriously take their examination during the OA assessment in Tubod, Lanao del Norte on June-18-22, 2018.
TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – To continuously capacitate and empower our partners in Organic Agriculture, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 sent 23 participants for OA Competency with National Certificate (NC) II at Lanao del Norte National Agro-Industrial School (LNNAIS) Tubod, Lanao del Norte on June 18 – 22, 2018.
Organic practitioners, learning site cooperators, agricultural extension workers (AEWs) and selected ATI-Caraga staff attended the 5-day enhancement course in preparation for the NC II assessment. It comprises four competencies. These are the production of organic concoctions and extracts, production of organic fertilizers, production of organic vegetables and raising organic small ruminants.
Moreover, assessment on two electives were given which include raising organic chicken and organic hog raising. The participants were trained to be competent, highly skilled and reliable trainers of organic agriculture production.
The participants thanked ATI-RTC 13 for elevating their capacity level in the field of organic agriculture. They commit to continuously advocate and practice organic production technologies and approaches before relaying it to other farmers.
Hence, TESDA and LNNAIS assessors evaluated the participants based on their obtained knowledge and skills through oral examination and practical demonstrations within five days.
Indeed, all participants successfully passed and were certified as NC II holder on June 22, 2018.
