Partner agencies give updates during 2nd sem RAFEN meeting

The 2nd Semester Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Network (RAFEN) met via Zoom last October 20, 2021.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Member agencies of the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Network (RAFEN) met online last October 20, 2021 for its 2nd semester meeting. During his opening message, Heracleo A. Paler, Asst. Center Director of ATI-RTC 13, thanked the partner agencies for attending the virtual meeting despite their busy schedules. He also expressed his gratitude to them for their cooperation and support to RAFEN.

During the meeting proper, the minutes of the previous meeting was presented for corrections and comments prior to its approval. Nena Lomuntad, Planning Officer II, discussed the 2020 ATI Policy Direction for Extension Roadmaps. The member agencies then gave updates on the programs, activities, and accomplishments of their respective organization.

There were around 20 partner agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs) who attended the said meeting. These were the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 13, National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) Caraga, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Caraga, Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Caraga, Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) Agusan, Caraga State University (CSU), Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU), agriculture and veterinary offices at the provincial level, to name a few.
