BUTUAN CITY – Spearheaded by the Agricultural Training Institute – Central Office (ATI-CO), regional Data Privacy Officers (DPOs) from the 16 centers were oriented on Data Privacy Act through a two-day virtual seminar on April 15-16, 2021 via google meet.
Resource Persons during the activity were from the National Privacy Commission (NPC). Cleo R. Martinez, Information Technology Officer II of the Compliance and Monitoring Division gave an overview of the Data Privacy Act of 2021 or Republic Act 10173. Atty. Vida Zora G. Bocar, Chief of the Policy Review Division, talked and led the workshop on Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA).
Moreover, Dianne Lane B. Lopez, Executive Assistant to the Deputy Privacy Commissioner, and Ijy James Lomibao discussed the Privacy Management Plan and Programs. They also guided the participants in the preparation of sample privacy management plans and programs during the workshop.
