LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – An inter-agency consultative meeting for the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement-Rice Extension Services Program (RCEF-RESP) for the 2nd Quarter of 2021 took place at the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 last June 3, 2021. This was attended by representatives from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice), Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) and Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) cooperators under Rice Competitiveness Enhancement-Rice Extension Services Program (RCEF-RESP). Also in the meeting were Rice Point Persons from Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, and Surigao del Sur. Participants with travel restrictions in their respective municipalities joined the meeting online via Google Meet.

The meeting aimed at harmonizing activities and plans for more effective implementation of the program. It also opened the opportunity for agencies to share updates and coping mechanisms amid lockdown measures brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. (with reports from JP Abonitalla)
