ATI 13, AgSur join hands for SOA on Cacao Prod’n

ATI 13 Information Services Section staff with representatives from PAVO – Agusan del Sur discussed matters regarding the implementation of the School-on-the-Air on Cacao Production this May 2021.

PATIN-AY, PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – With the aim to intensify the promotion of cacao production in the province of Agusan del Sur, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII confer with representatives of the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office (PAVO) last March 10, 2021 for the School-on-the-Air (SOA) program.

The SOA is composed of 16 episodes which will include topics on area preparation, cultural management, pest and diseases management, harvesting, processing, and marketing. Resource persons will come from PAVO per agreement during the meeting.

A briefing will be done on April 6, 2021 which will be attended by municipal representatives/High-Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) focal persons from the 13 municipalities and one city of the province. The finalization of a module, resource persons, and the preferred station will also be discussed during the activity.

This program will be hosted by Joel Corvera, provincial farmcaster, and targets 500 plus graduates.
