RTWC members conducts interview with the FITS Center Manager and staff and MS nominees on March 2, 2021.
LA PAZ, Agusan del Sur- The members of the Regional Technical Working Committee (RTWC) of Techno Gabay Program (TGP) conducted an evaluation of Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center on March 2, 2021.
The said FITS Center established by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of La Paz, ADS is managed by the Municipal Agriculturist Teofilo B. Ferolin Sr. as FITS Manager.
The RTWC comprised Fil Victor A. Babanto and Ginalyn V. Arbutante from the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 and Rodel Pasion from Caraga State University (CSU).
On the other hand, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) 13 and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) 13 were not able to join the said evaluation for an equally important matter.
Moreover, three of the Magsasaka Siyentista (MS) nominees were also interviewed as to their leadership skills, technology innovations, yield, income and the like. Field validation was also conducted by the RTWC in accordance to the standard criteria such as accessibility, technology used and others.
The said evaluation activity is under the Executive Order 801 “Encouraging Local Government Units (LGUs) to Adopt Techno Gabay in their Agricultural Extension Programs and Concerned Government Agencies to Provide Required Assistance for the Purpose”
