SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 conducted its capability enhancement for RBO / 4-H new coordinators last March 6-8, 2018 at RSY Pension House, P. Reyes, Surigao City which was participated by 29 representatives from the region.
The resource speakers and topics discussed during the three-day activity were: Programs for Rural Based Organizations (RBOs) and ATI Tier II Projects for RIC, 4-H, IPs, P4MP, FHEXAP, etc. - Mary Jane Gonzaga, Jocelyn Bayona and Leah Napoco; Work Effectiveness and Team Building – Ressell Angelie Fetalsana; and Organizational Management – Dr. Nancy Charcos.
Edylver Jhun Amoncio, from the Municipal Agriculture Office of Alegria - Surigao del Norte, recognized the activity as very useful for new coordinators to be aware and knowledgeable about RBOs guidelines and rules including the ways on how to be a good community organizer in leading RBOs.
Ruby-Ann Lagahit, OIC-Provincial Agriculturist of Surigao del Norte, stressed during her message the importance of knowing what the instruction for the day is to perform best in the workplace. One should wear the full armor of knowledge and strategies to become not just RBO coordinators but agricultural extensionists.
Further, Ms. Lagahit said, “Agriculture people are the brightest people for they can perform jobs that are beyond their lines of work.”
