ATI-Caraga joins Women’s Month celebration

Advocacy Walk as kick-off activity of Women's Month celebration last March 1, 2018 in Butuan City

BUTUAN CITY, Agusan del Norte - In line with the Women’s Month celebration, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Institute XIII (ATI-Caraga), joined the advocacy walk last March 1, 2018 that started at the Capitol Grounds of Agusan del Norte and culminated at the Butuan City Hall.

The advocacy walk, which was participated in by various government agencies, state colleges and universities, and private organizations, was just one of the many activities lined up for the entire month of March.

The celebration is consistent with Proclamation No. 227 series of 1988 declaring the observance of the month of March as Women’s Role in History Month. With the theme, “We Make Change Work for Women”, it pays tribute to the strong and resilient women who bring inspiring changes here in the country and in the world.

After the advocacy walk, a Zumba dance followed shortly. In addition to these, a Women’s Summit will take place on March 8, 2018 at the LMX Convention Center in Butuan City. An outreach program will happen on March 22-23, 2018 in Carrascal, Surigao del Sur while the culmination program is slated on a later date (April 6, 2018) at the Agusan del Norte Covered Court.
