LOS ANGELES, Butuan City - To harmonize the implementation of trainings and other extension activities, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 headed by Samuel L. Calonzo, OIC-Center Director, conducted a Provincial Consultative Meeting for Livestock/Poultry Raisers and other Stakeholders in every province of Caraga region. The schedule of the consultative meetings are as follows:

• February 6, 2018 - OPAG Surigao del Sur, Tandag City
• February 7, 2018 - Mabe’s Savory Place, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
• February 8, 2018 - Mija Grill, San Jose, Province of Dinagat Island
• February 9, 2018 - RSY, Navarro Street, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte
• February 13, 2018 - ATI-RTC 13, Los Angeles, Butuan City

The series of activities were actively participated in by livestock and poultry raisers, Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), livestock coordinators, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and Provincial Veterinarians.

“It is always a challenge to the livestock sector of our region to meet the demands for meat and poultry products. There is a continuous increase in the demand and yet our supply is decreasing. With the help of ATI Region 13, headed by Samuel Calonzo, our AEWs and raisers will surely gain insights and skills to help advance the livestock sector of Surigao del Sur extending it to the whole Caraga Region,” said Marcos Quico, Provincial Agriculturist of Surigao del Sur.
