EAsY AGRI aspirants undergo virtual exam and interview

BUTUAN CITY – A total of 27 aspirants took the qualifying examination and interview for the Education Assistance for the Youth in Agriculture (EAsY – AGRI) conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 last July 9, 2020.

The Essay-type exam and one-on-one interview was administered virtually via messenger application by the regional Scholarship Committee. Members present during the activity are Acting Assistant Center Director Heracleo A. Paler, OIC-Chief of the Career Development and Management Services Section Violeta T. Laguna, OIC-Chief of the Partnership and Accreditation Services Section Matt Andrew G. Baquiano, Administrative and Finance Unit Head Remedios C. Amilao, and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit Head Nena L. Lomuntad. Each of them was assigned with at least five applicants from the different provinces within the region.

From among the qualifiers, a total of 14 scholars will be chosen to complete the slots allotted for Caraga for School Year 2020-2021 wherein 10 are for Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Fishery and related courses and 4 slots for Agricultural Engineering students. Though some of the applicants are yet to submit the proof admission because of the delayed schedule of release of some SUCs, the committee hopes to complete the shortlist of scholars before the start of classes by August.

Said activity would not have been successful without the support of the respective Provincial and Municipal Agriculturist Offices who assured the connectivity of the aspirants during the examination and interview.
