SOA-Rice launched in SurSur

Mr. Fritzieh Trujillo from Provincial Agriculture Office of Surigao del Sur hosts the launching of the SOA Program on Rice Production on June 30, 2020.

TANDAG CITY- The School-On-the-Air (SOA) Program on Rice Production recently launched at Radyo Bandera 100.7 News FM radio station in Tandag City on June 30, 2020 at 5:00 to 6:00 o’clock in the morning.
It aimed at intensifying the promotion of rice production in the province of Surigao del Sur through the use of radio as communication medium.
The program comprised with an adjusted target of 300 participants from four participating municipalities and one city, namely Cagwait, Tago, Bayabas, Cortes and Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.
Moreover, Assistant Provincial Agriculturist Esmeraldo Odtojan served as live guest during the launching in the station together with the Resource Persons from their office which were assigned for the 16 topics within 16 weeks on-air.
On the other hand, Center Director Samuel Calonzo of the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 was interviewed via phone patch. He ensured everyone that support from ATI specifically when it comes to training of various technologies will be served to the different stakeholders.
The SOA program was spearheaded by the Information Services Section (ISS) team of ATI-Caraga in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Surigao del Sur through its Provincial Agriculture Office.
