ATI 13 calls for creative minds through DIY Garden Pot Challenge

BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Following the successful launching of “Garden mo, Ibida mo!” and “i-BIDA nATIn Song Writing Contest”, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII creates another opportunity for the youth to showcase their talent, skills, and creativity through its DIY (Do-it-Yourself) Garden Pot Challenge.

This aims to attract more youth members to engage in farming by letting them recognize that one’s artistic mind can be brought up and applied making agriculture enjoyable and fun. This could also boost their participation through social media promotion.

Further, resourcefulness and recycling are promoted in this contest by letting the contestant use plastic, wood, scraps, or cans as garden pots.

It is open to all interested individuals, 15-30 years of age living in Caraga Region. Participants must submit two files which are as follows: 2-3 minutes video file (inclusive of intro and extro) of the step by step process and a picture of the final output with the contestant.

The criteria for judging are as follows: Aesthetic value/creativity which is 30%, Resourcefulness is 30%, Uniqueness is 20%, Quality of video footages is 10%, and Number of likes, views, and shares which is 10%. The Center will accept entries starting July 13 – 17, 2020.

Top three winners will receive a brand new android phone, gardening starter kit, i-BIDA nATIn polo shirt, and Php 1,000.00 worth of cell card load. Top 10 minor awardees will also receive gardening starter kit, i-BIDA nATIn polo shirt, and Php 100.00 cell card load.
