Youth to showcase voice through Singing Contest

BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Awakening the youth in their role in agriculture and fisheries development in this Covid-19 pandemic, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII launched its Song Writing Contest as one of the i-BIDA nATIn Skills Competition for Young Farmers.

The contest is open to all singers and songwriters aging 15-30 years of age residing in Caraga Region. The contestant shall be an individual singer-songwriter, and/or in tandem with a lyricist and the singer.

The lyrics of the song should reflect i-BIDA nATIn and Philippine Agriculture in Bisaya, Filipino, English, or combination of the three. The Center will accept entries starting July 27 – 31, 2020.

It will be judged according to the melody which is 30%, lyrics is 30%, uniqueness is 10%, aesthetic/ commercial appeal, the number of likes, views, and shares is 30% which results to 100%.

The grand prize winner will receive a plaque, i-BIDA nATIn polo shirt, gardening starter kit, brand new android phone and a home recording studio starter package which includes condenser microphone, headphone, and soundcard.

The second prize will receive a gardening kit, brand new android phone, certificate, and a polo shirt. Further, other prizes await to top 10 entries.
