BAC ensures Center adheres procurement process

ATI-RTC XIII staff discusses issues faced by the Center on the Government Procurement Act during a special meeting last June 26, 2020.

BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Despite changes in targets and the mode of extension delivery from face-to-face to online, the top management of Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII ensures that the procurement process should still be in accordance to Republic Act No. 9184 and should be strictly followed by the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).

On its special meeting last June 26, 2020, the BAC called for a special meeting to evaluate the procurement process of the Center. This is to review processes and rules that key persons need to undertake in accordance with the regulations of the Commission on Audit (COA).

“We are buying starter kits for our target participants. We want to give them the best quality of what they need. On the other hand, meeting like this is necessary to ensure that we are following the right steps under the procurement law,” said Center Director Samuel L. Calonzo.

The said activity was attended by BAC members, point persons, section chiefs, and canvassers.
