Antonieta J. Arceo, Chief of the Information Services Division, challenged the participants on ATI’s partnership with national TV networks as an opportunity that entails additional workload at the same time added functionality in order to boost ATI’s extension service to its clients.

DILIMAN, Quezon City – Triumphs of local farmers in agriculture will soon be broadcasted on national television after the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) forged a deal with PTV 4 and ABC 5 networks. This was learned during the Workshop on Documentation of Success Stories on Youth Agripreneurship Program held at ATI Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City last March 3-5, 2020.

Antonieta J. Arceo, Chief of the Information Services Division, explained to the participants that the institute has received an additional budget of around Php 200 million for information, education and communication-related activities. Part of that budget will be allocated for video documentaries featuring inspiring stories of men, women and youth in agriculture.

Under the Youth Agripreneurship Program, 50 documentaries will be produced featuring the best practices of young farmers. Each documentary will run for 8-10 minutes and will be aired as a segment under “Mag-Agri Tayo,” a program televised every Saturday from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM over PTV 4.

Meanwhile, for non-youth farmers whose farming practices are worthy of emulation, they can also be featured in “Dito Sa Atin,” a television program aired every Saturday from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at ABC 5.

During the workshop, training centers from every region presented the accomplishments and best practices of their local farmers whom they recommend for documentation. There was also tentative scheduling of video shoots as well as discussion from Patrick Rey Daffon, Executive Producer of the “Mag-Agri Tayo” program.
