Provincial Agriculturist Marcos M. Quico of Surigao del Sur assures his full support for the implementation of the SOA program on Rice Production during the coordination meeting on February 27, 2020.
TANDAG CITY- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently coordinated with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in Surigao del Sur for the proposed School-on-the-Air (SOA) program on Rice Production in the province.
Provincial Agriculturist Marcos M. Quico expressed his full support for the implementation of the said program during the coordination meeting.
On the other hand, Ginalyn Arbutante who served as the Project Officer from ATI-Caraga convene with the rest of the staff in the province who are directly involved in the program on February 27, 2020.
Provincial SOA Coordinator Fritzieh Trujillo joined in the meeting together with the Chief of Crops Division at the same time Provincial Rice Program Coordinator Ms. Rena Prado and her staff.
During the meeting, initial modules on rice production are presented both from ATI and the province. It was agreed later that the final one which will be used for the whole duration of the SOA program will be coming from the province. Resource Person will also be coming from the Provincial Agriculture Office specifically those fresh from the training so that any updates in terms of rice production will also be disseminated to the farmers and the general audience as well.
Mr. Trujillo will be the one to host the program on air together with the assigned Resource Person based on the topic to be discussed.
Moreover, Memorandum of Agreement will be crafted soon after the submission of the final module to be used. Initial schedule for the briefing of SOA program on Rice Production will be on April 7, 2020 in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.
