IQA spearheads Readiness Assessment

OIC-Center Director Samuel L. Calonzo affirms his confidence to the employees’ efforts of ensuring conformance of its quality management system to the requirements of the ISO standards.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – To determine its readiness to undergo 3rd Party ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit, the members of the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) team of the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 13 spearheaded the Readiness Assessment and Technical Guidance last October 2-4, 2019.

The IQA team include Agriculturist II Matt Andrew Baquiano as Lead Auditor with members Training Specialist III Jocelyn A. Bayona and Planning Officer II Nena L. Lomuntad. Joining them are Training Specialist II Violeta T. Laguna, Media Production Specialist II Mary Grace B. Salve, Accountant Francis H. Iriarte, and Administrative Officer II Ligaya M. Antiola as under study.

As the overseer of the activity, Senior Agriculturist Heracleo A. Paler led the IQA team in conducting process review to various sections and units.

Prior to the internal audit, Paler presented the audit plan and discussed the audit criteria. He reminded the process owners to be mindful of the documented information that evidence compliance to the requirements in implementing its policies and procedures. Findings from previous audits were also reviewed as baseline in executing the corrective actions. The Risk Assessment Plan and Quality Objectives were reviewed to update the progress of the monthly monitoring activities.

In his message, OIC Center Director Samuel L. Calonzo affirmed his confidence to the employees’ efforts of ensuring conformance of its quality management system to the requirements of the ISO standards.
Though there have been areas that needs further improvement, Calonzo is certain that the center will have a positive result during the 3rdP Party Surveillance Audit.
