Alfredo S. Aton, ATI Director IV, describes the e-Learning program of ATI as one way of acquiring information that encourages personal growth and knowledge sharing among the various sectors of community during his message on the 11th e-Learning Mass Graduation on Dec. 9, 2019 at Butuan City.
VILLA KANANGA, Butuan City – Considered as one of the most awaited annual event of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13, more than 800 out of the total 1,450 individuals participated on the 11th e-Learning Mass Graduation on December 9, 2019 held at VCDU Prince Hotel Grand Convention.
The activity aims to enhance and institutionalize the ATI's e-Extension system in agriculture fisheries, and natural resources for optimal application, utilization and exchange among users and partners.
“ATI as the home of e-Learning in the Philippines strives to achieve its goal in promoting the use of social media and Information Communication Technology (ICT) to reach the grass roots in the society. Thus, this e-Learning will be able to reach more students and encourage individuals to take e-Learning courses especially in Agriculture which could help the learners to learn for personal growth and to share the knowledge gained to others,” says ATI Director IV – Alfredo S. Aton, MPS-DM.
Partner stakeholders were from the different Local Government Units (LGUs) within Caraga Region; State Colleges and Universities (SUCs) composed of Caraga State University (CSU), Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU) – Tagbina Campus, Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT); and schools from Los Angeles Senior High School, San Vicente Senior High School, Pinamanculan Senior High School and Taligaman Senior High School.
Jose Rey Alo, e-Learning Consultant, also gave a message expressing his excitement describing the one-day event as an annual “eye ball” between the implementers and the learners. He also congratulated ATI-Caraga for a remarkable 11 years of carrying out this program.
“Personally, attending this ATI mass graduation is an opportunity to gather as one. This means a lot to me. I saw different faces, sharing common background and knowing the different universities who take the online aside from us Tagbina Campus. I am glad to meet all my fellow students, faculty, teachers, and ATI staff for extending their knowledge through the use of the modern technology,” said Lourene Mae R. Davirao, a student of SDSSU – Tagbina Campus.
Outstanding graduates were also recognized and were given tokens during the event.
