Lectures on the rules in composition and framing were applied when participants were sent to the demo farm of ATI-13 to take video shots using their mobile phones.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Twenty government staff are now ready to package in video format the best practices of local farmers after completing the four-day Training Course on Video Production. The training took place at the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 this city from November 9-12, 2021.
The participants composed of 14 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from various Local Government Units in Caraga region who are involved in the operation of the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center. There were also five staff from ATI-RTC 13 and one from the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 13.
The main objective of the training was to capacitate the Information Services Specialists (ISS) of the FITS Center, other Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and ATI staff in making success stories and promotional materials in video format.
Erwin Mascariñas, a multi-awarded freelance photojournalist and videographer, returned to ATI to act as Resource Person in this training. It can be recalled that he was also the speaker during the Training on Photography and Vlogging last June 2021.
The trainees were taught on basic operation of the camera, various kinds of shot, rules in composition, script writing, and video editing using the Adobe Premiere Pro.
The activity included lectures, field workshops, and hands-on activities. Their individual video outputs were critiqued for further improvement by Mascariñas and ATI-13 OIC Center Director Fil Victor Babanto.
During the closing program, outgoing ATI-13 Center Director Samuel L. Calonzo expressed his thanks to the participants as well as their respective head of office for participating in the training. He noted that the training funds for this undertaking was sourced out from the ATI Central Office through the effort of Director Babanto. During his message, Calonzo also thanked Mascariñas for accepting ATI’s invitation.
