Third batch of trainees hurdle NC III on Agri-Crops

Dr. Victor Emmanuel Ozarraga, a university professor and learning site cooperator of ATI, expressed his impressions about the training.

BUTUAN CITY, Agusan del Norte – They worked for it, they got it! All 28 participants of the Training Course Towards Capacitating Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) passed the National Certification III on Agricultural Crops Production. Like in the last two batches, the third batch also had a 100% passing rate in the competency test conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Most of the participants were AEWs from the provinces of Surigao del Sur and Agusan del Norte. The rest were Learning Site cooperators and staff from ATI-Caraga.

Dr. Victor Emmanuel Ozarraga, a Learning Site cooperator in Butuan City and one of the training participants, expressed his appreciation to ATI for the opportunity of taking part in the said training course. “I appreciated the training course and the atmosphere that pervaded especially in terms of achieving the purpose, passing the NC III, relevance of the training and the preparedness of the training management team.”

Likewise, another participant in the person of Joseph Canila from Bislig City also expressed his gratitude during the closing program. “For the training activity all I can say is that it is very beneficial to me as a new agricultural extension worker in terms of enhancing my knowledge. For the speakers, thank you for the encouraging inputs that inspired me to be a better extension worker in our community. To the ATI family, thank you for this opportunity. I promise to do my best in imparting my learnings to our dear farmers so that they may be able to achieve their dream of improving their lives through farming.”

The said training ran from October 15 to 19, 2018. Violeta Laguna, Training Specialist II of ATI-Caraga and Project Officer of the training, said that after the successful undertaking she will again prepare for the 4th and last batch of trainees which will commence a week after.
