ATI finds joy in feeding the elderly

Staff from ATI and Por Cristo Foundation worked together in making the Feeding Program a success.

BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte – In Isaiah 46:4 it says “Till you grow old, I will still be the same; When you turn gray, it is I who will carry … I will be the Bearer; And I will carry and rescue you.” Inspired by these immortal words from the bible, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XIII has put those words into action through the conduct of a Feeding for the Senior Citizens of Por Cristo Foundation Incorporated last September 26, 2018 in Brgy. Abilan, Buenavista.

Paula Mae Creencia, Development Management Officer II of ATI-Caraga and a licensed Food Technologist said that the objective of the outreach program was to enhance and expand the quality care service to the elderly through provision of proper nutrition. She also wanted to advocate the importance of social work and further the assistance extended to those in need.

A total of 52 senior citizens participated in the feeding program. There were 20 staff from Por Cristo and 14 from ATI-Caraga who were present during the activity.
Charlene Angganon, Head Social Worker of Por Cristo Foundation thanked the ATI family for the time and effort extended in making the elderly people happy. On the other hand, Samuel L. Calonzo, OIC Center Director of ATI-Caraga, mentioned the dedication needed in taking care of the senior citizens and at the same time commended the social workers for their dedication and patience.
