Surigao del Norte, ATI blueprint plans for FY 2019-2020

BRGY. SABANG, Surigao City – To harmonize program among stakeholders of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and to determine their need-based trainings, the Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center XIII (ATI-Caraga) conducted a provincial consultation for the crafting of the FY 2019 Program Implementation and FY 2020 Agri-Fishery Extension Needs Plan last September 25, 2018.

Sixty-three participants composed of agricultural extension workers (AEWs) at the municipal and provincial offices and representatives of people’s organizations (POs) attended the whole-day gathering. Also present to discuss ATI’s plans and programs were top management of ATI-Caraga namely: Heracleo Paler (Sr. Agriculturist/PASS Chief), Jocelyn Bayona (Training Specialist III/CDMS Chief) and Nena Lomuntad (Planning Officer II). The ATI team responded to issues and concerns raised by the participants during the open forum.

As an activity output, the participants submitted their training needs and proposed agri-fishery extension program for 2020 to ATI-Caraga for funding purposes and for the identification and harmonization of ATI interventions.
