Five barangays to establish FITS Kiosks in Esperanza, AgSur

ESPERANZA, Agusan del Sur- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently conducted a validation to the five (5) barangays in Esperanza on September 23, 2020. This is in response to the establishment of a Barangay Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) Kiosk under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF).

The said barangays are Crossing Luna, Catmonon, Sta. Fe, Piglawigan and Brgy. Dakutan. Fil Victor V. Babanto, Information Services Section Chief of ATI-RTC 13 together with his staff Ginalyn V. Arbutante, Information Officer II validated each barangay according to the criteria.

Moreover, the five barangays were pre-evaluated by Municipal Agriculturist Jose Zaldy Manug and Ismael Saguran from the Municipal Agriculture Office of Esperanza and recommended to ATI-RTC 13 Center Director Samuel L. Calonzo. Saguran is the assigned Information Services Specialist (ISS) of the FITS Center who also accompanied ATI-RTC 13 staff during the final validation.

Brgy. Captains and officials assisted evaluators during the said validation. On the other hand, FITS Center of the Local Government Unit (LGU)-Esperanza, Agusan del Sur was also assessed for its enhancement under RCEF.
