PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – The province of Agusan del Sur (ADS) crafted their agricultural extension-related plans and programs for 2020. A copy of which was furnished to ATI-RTC XIII (ATI-Caraga) during the Provincial Consultation for FY 2019 Program Implementation and FY 2020 Agri-Fishery Needs Planning Workshop held at the Hygeia Integmeds Center, Brgy. Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur last September 7, 2018.

The 2020 plans and programs of ADS became the basis of ATI’s 2019 plans and programs. The terminal objective of the consultation was to harmonize programs among extension service providers of DA family and to determine the need based trainings among stakeholders. The activity also aimed to identify possible interventions among stakeholders and determine issues and concerns that needs to be addressed soon.

Most of the training interventions requested by ADS next year are on organic agriculture, good agriculture practices (GAP) on high valued crops, school-on-the-air programs, livestock, food processing and aquaculture.
