TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur – Based upon the 2020 Work and Financial Plan of Surigao del Sur (SDS) which was furnished to ATI-RTC XIII (ATI-Caraga), there will be more trainings on livestock production in the said province particularly on large ruminant production technologies, small animal production technologies and initiatives to calamities on animal rescue emergency (I-CARE). This was known during the provincial consultation conducted last September 5, 2018 at the Selades Apartelle and Convention Center in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.

Seventy-five participants attended the one-day activity. They were mostly composed of agricultural extension workers at the municipal and provincial levels of SDS.

During the open forum, some issues and concerns were raised particularly on livestock production since there were areas in SDS affected by Surra. Guidelines in the establishment of Learning Sites (LS) was also clarified by Heracleo A. Paler, Sr. Agriculturist of ATI-Caraga, after a Municipal Agriculturist inquired about the process of application.
