LOS ANGELES, Butuan City - The Information Services Section (ISS) of ATI-RTC XIII or ATI-Caraga conducted the Regional Rollout Training for Rice Crop Manager (RCM) Use and Operations at the center’s training complex last September 3-6, 2018 this city. The four-day training aimed to capacitate agricultural extension workers (AEWs) from local government units (LGUs) to deploy RCM in their respective localities and provide printed recommendations to rice farmers.
After the training, the 27 participants were expected to operate RCM in both online and offline mode using a laptop, tablet, or smartphone; print the one-page RCM recommendation from a laptop, tablet, or smartphone; explain RCM questions and recommendations generated from a farmer interview; plan for RCM deployment in their respective municipalities; and develop a roll-out plan for conduct of training for AEWs, LFTs, and other extension service providers on the operation and use of RCM on troubleshooting associated with use of RCM.
