BUTUAN CITY – The Provincial, City and Municipal Rural-based Organizations (RBO) and 4-H Coordinators convened on Monday, September 13, 2021 for the virtual coordination meeting conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13.
RBO Point Person Mary Grace B. Salve mentioned that the meeting was called for to discuss the guidelines, arrangements, contest mechanics and other necessary preparations for the upcoming regional 4-H Youth Camp. Salve discussed the various contests which include the Speech contest, promotional music video contest, and trivia quiz. She added that there will also be a search for the regional Excellence Achievers Awards 2020 anchored on four thematic categories namely Education, Environment and Food Security, Economic and Sustainable Development, and Mental and Physical Health exclusively for the 4-H clubs’ projects or initiatives that was started from March 16 – December 31, 2020.
As per initial agreement of the group, the youth camp will be conducted on October 7, 2021 using the online platform to ensure the health and safety of the participants in this time of pandemic. They also considered the possibility of holding the event in cluster wherein the youth will assemble at the provincial/city FITS centers, subject to the existing local health protocols.
RBO Alternate Point Person Mary Jane A. Gonzaga was also present during the meeting.
The group will hold a follow-up meeting on September 27, 2021 to finalize the event.
