NGAs, AgNor LGUs attend virtual consultative meeting

LGU, NGA, and SUC representatives of the Provincial Consultation Workshop for Agriculture and Fishery Extension Needs Target Setting of Fiscal Year 2023 raised some questions regarding the filling out of forms.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Twenty-one representatives coming from the provincial/municipal agriculture and veterinary offices, National Government Agencies (NGAs), and State Universities and Colleges (SUC) joined the Provincial Consultation Workshop for Agriculture and Fishery Extension Needs Target Setting of Fiscal Year 2023 for Agusan del Norte. This took place on September 13, 2021 via Zoom application.

The main objective of the meeting was to harmonized agriculture and fishery needs among extension service providers. Specifically, the activity aimed to inform participants on the policy directions and priority programs in anticipation to the implementation of the Mandanas Ruling, identify possible intervention among AFE partners, identify issues and concerns including recommendations of different provinces, and identify need-based training programs of the focused customers of ATI for Calendar Year 2023.

The opening program started a little past 9:00 AM with Samuel L. Calonzo, ATI-RTC 13 Center Director, gracing the online activity with his opening message. He highlighted the need to come up with programs, projects, and activities for 2023 that should be in line with the Mandanas Ruling.
Nena L. Lomuntad, Planning Officer II and Project Officer of ATI-RTC 13, gave the overview of the meeting, explained the forms to be filled-out and submitted, and answered inquiries and made clarifications.

To be reflected in the forms given are gaps, issues, and concerns per LGU/agency, the desired interventions to be conducted, and the required resources.

Accomplished forms should be returned to ATI-RTC 13 not later than September 17, 2021. After the data collection, outputs will then be consolidated and then sent to the Central Office.
