QUEZON CITY - The Central Office of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) conducted a National Review of the ATI Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) Project and Initial Writeshop: Repositioning ATI Climate Change Initiatives on August 28-31, 2019 at La Breza Hotel, Quezon City.
This was participated by the different Climate Change Coordinators, Planning Officers and Information Officers from the Regional Centers of ATI.
Engr. Matt Andrew Baquiano, Agriculturist II at the same time Climate Change Coordinator joined in. Along with him were Nena Lomuntad, Planning Officer II and Ginalyn Arbutante, Information Officer II as representatives of ATI-Caraga.
Said activity aimed at coming up with a plan of action on how Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) will be mainstreamed to the different functional units of ATI and RTCs as contributory to the ongoing ATI CRA projects and to further develop the knowledge and skills of the CRA partners in writing and packaging success stories so that the positive outcome of agricultural program and projects are properly and meaningfully documented.
Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 Accomplishments including Good Agricultural Practices of the CRA Projects were presented during the sessions.
Mr. Vicente Dayanghirang, Jr., the outgoing CRA Coordinator presented the Issues and Challenges of Mainstreaming Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction during the review.
On the other hand, Ms. Antonieta J. Arceo, Chief of the Information Services Division of ATI-CO led in the CRA Project Documentation Writeshop.
Said workshop was spearheaded by the Partnerships and Accreditation Division (PAD) with Mr. Manuel Dimalaluan as the new CRA Coordinator.
Submission of an Action Plan per region served as one of the outputs of the participants based on the agreements made during the National Review.
