Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a renewal for the integration of e-Learning for Agriculture and Fisheries of DA-ATI together with Center Director Samuel L. Calonzo and ASSCAT Bunawan, Agusan del Sur President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – No less than the newly-appointed President of the Agusan del Sur State College of Arts and Trade (ASSCAT) in the person of Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, together with her faculty members, visited the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 (ATI-RTC 13) last August 19, 2021.

The purpose of the visit was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a renewal for the integration of e-Learning for Agriculture and Fisheries of DA-ATI to the school curriculum of ASSCAT. For more than a decade, ASSCAT has utilized the free, short online courses offered by ATI. Many of its agriculture students have used it to supplement the learnings they gained inside the classroom. As online platform has become more relevant in this time of pandemic, the school has realized to further strengthen its partnership with ATI and maximize the use of its e-Learning program.

Just this month, the school was converted into Agusan del Sur State University (ADSU) by virtue of R.A. 11586 signed by President Rodrigo R. Duterte. However, the school is still adopting its old name as of the moment while it is in the process of complying some requirements set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
