BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – The second episode of the i-BIDA nATIn program webinar series season 3 on August 14, 2020 taught online learners how to process various herbal medicinal plants into new products.

Processing of three (3) herbal medicinal plants were discussed by Dr. Rex Linao, Executive Director of the Foundation for the Development of Agusanons, Inc. (FDAI). As the assigned Resource Person of the said episode, he taught online learners some tips and procedures in making lagundi syrup, ginger liniment oil and turmeric powder.

On the other hand, FDAI is an accredited Private Extension Service Provider (PESP) of the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13. The said Foundation is located at Bry. Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

Moreover, photo and video footages on the actual processing of the three identified herbal medicinal plants which are also produced by FDAI were also presented by Dr. Linao during the webinar. This is along with its health benefits and importance.

Online participants were able to raise their queries during the open forum after the lecture. Right there and then, they learned some basic steps in processing ginger, turmeric and lagundi into new products as well as its packaging.
