AEWs to undergo Training of Trainers on CSFBS in Caraga

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will be holding a Training of Trainers (TOT) on Climate Smart Farm Business School specifically on Swine Production on August 14-23, 2019.

This will be participated by twenty-five (25) Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from the Local Government Units (LGUs) in Region 13.

The training course aims to enhance the knowledge, attitude and skills of Agricultural Extension Workers in the implementation of the climate smart farm business school for livestock.

Participants are expected to explain the impacts of climate change in agriculture and discuss the climate change adaptation and technologies for poultry and livestock after the training. They will also have the opportunity to describe community-managed disaster risk reduction (CMDRR), its concepts and tools, and assess natural hazards and risks impacting agricultural production. Basic concepts of farm business, marketing and management will also be taught. Skills in developing a business plan will also be enhanced during a 10-day training.

Said TOT will be conducted right at the ATI-RTC 13 Training Hall, Los Angeles, Butuan City. Ms. Florita Lozada, Livestock Focal Person of ATI-Caraga served as the Project Officer.
