GENERAL LUNA, Surigao del Norte-The Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 conducted a 3-day training on Agri-based farming system to farm families in General Luna, Surigao del Norte.

This is with the aim of enhancing their knowledge and skills through technology intervention on Agri-based Farming System for Farm Family Productivity.

Moreover, this training let the participants appreciate the importance of organic vegetable production wherein they were able to explain the cultural management practices of vegetable production.

They also had the chance to demonstrate and prepare organic fertilizer production during the training.

“We are so blessed that we got the chance to learn a lot from this training. Especially on the demonstration of processing organic concoctions that are also available in our surroundings. Thank you so much ATI”, professed Jose Roy Loffe, one of the participants.

There were 30 participants completed the said training on July 24-26, 2018. The group comprise farmers and rural women from Siargao Island. This was held at the Municipal Hall, General Luna, Surigao del Norte.
