LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will be conducting a Mid-Assessment on the School-on-the-Air (SOA) Program on Cacao Production on July 30, 2019 in Surigao del Sur.
This is to harmonize activities specifically in program implementation using various strategies within its four-month duration. This activity will be attended by the Provincial and Municipal SOA Coordinators in the said province.
The SOA program on Cacao which runs from May-September this year is now on its 9th week airing via DXBP Sure FM based in Tandag City with its hook-up station in Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.
This program is currently hosted by Fritzieh Trujillo, Provincial SOA Coordinator from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg). Along with him are the assigned Resource Persons based on the scheduled topics that will be discussed on air every Thursday at 5:00-6:00 o’clock in the morning.
The trained Cacao Doctors and Cacao Specialists served as the Subject Matter Specialists (SMS) in the said SOA program for four months airing and serving the farmers, fishers and other stakeholders using radio as medium in disseminating information.
Strong linkage between the ATI and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Surigao del Sur made these things possible.
