Day 2 participants of the Provincial Consultation-Workshops on the Development of the National Extension Agenda and Programs (NEAP) for FY 2022-2028 listened attentively to the presentations.
PATIN-AY, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur – Representatives of various farmers’ associations composed the majority of participants on Day 2 of the Provincial Consultation-Workshops on the Development of the National Extension Agenda and Programs (NEAP) for FY 2022-2028 last July 16, 2021 hosted by Hygeia IntraMeds Center of the Foundation for the Development of Agusanons, Inc. (FDAI).
Some of the participants felt uncertain about the transitional change brought about by the Mandanas ruling since its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) is still not being disseminated. They also gave suggestions on the hiring of Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), sustaining the Barangay Agriculture Workers (BAWs), marketing and controlling prices of agri-products, linking producers and buyers, providing better facilities and roads, supporting producers through loans and advisories, and putting up of laboratories for soil and disease testing.
During his closing remarks, Heracleo A. Paler (Asst. Center Director of ATI-Caraga), thanked the participants for their presence and valuable contribution toward the final crafting of the new NEAP.
