CD Calonzo inspires ATI employees to plant veggies in the office

ATI-Caraga staff help each other in establishing their assigned group vegetable garden every week .

BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture is mandated to train agricultural extension workers and farmers. The institute also lead in the delivery of e-extension services for agriculture and fisheries sector in the Philippines.

As part of the DA family, the ATI-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 staff and employees under the leadership of Director Samuel L. Calonzo take its leap to join as one of the "Plant Plant Plant Program" of Secretary William Dar.

ATI staff and employees were challenge on how to beautify or build a unique design of vegetable garden to be established in the office premises as a group accomplishment. Every week, everybody will go to their assigned area and have a “Bayahihan System”. It is also one way of developing and showing camaraderie, team-building as well as health and wellness. Hand in hand and little by little, some group were able to build a foundation for the specific design as to what materials to be used that would basically describe their garden.

Director Calonzo inspires ATI-Caraga staff to continue doing the roles and responsibilities of a public servant at the same time support all programs of the DA as one family.
