Students from Caraga State University (CSU), with ATI-RTC XIII staff, receive starter kits on June 15, 2021 as participants of the Seminar on Urban Vegetable Gardening held last March 18-19, 2021.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Six students from Caraga State University (CSU) received starter kits from the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII on June 15, 2021. This was an offshoot to their participants of the Seminar on Urban Gardening held last March 18-19, 2021.
The starter kit is composed of assorted vegetable seeds, a seedling tray, hand shovel, hand rake, and pruning shears.
The said training was conducted under the High-Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) to provide information at the same time promote urban gardening and explain its importance to household and community food security for various stakeholders affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is also in relation to the Balik Probinsya Program of the government.
