Regional Skills Competition to strengthen youth sector

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Identified not just leaders of tomorrow but also as partners of today, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII continues to give opportunities for the youth through its “i-BIDA nATIn Regional Skills Competition for Young Farmers.”

This competition aims to showcase online the knowledge, talent, skills and competencies of the youth aging 10-30 years old in relation to the development of the agriculture sector. Moreover, this will encourage the youth to engage in farming to stress their important role in the future of Philippine agriculture and fisheries as well as in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, this will promote greater awareness of various agriculture-related technologies and best practices that are worth emulating.

The said competition is composed of the following: Songwriting Contest, DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Garden Pot Challenge, Agri Essay Writing Contest, and Kabataang Mag-uuma, Imong Hugot I-bida (Spoken Poetry Contest).

Awards such as cellphones, starter kits, and load cards will be given to the winners.
