ATI Reps joins 2nd Qtr RDC-EDC Meeting

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – In this time of pandemic where the use of teleconferencing via online applications is popularly used by any agency, the top management of Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII attends the 2nd Quarter Regional Development Council – Economic Development Committee (RDC-EDC) meeting on June 22, 2020 via google meet.

Samuel L. Calonzo, Center Director, together with Nena L. Lomuntad, Planning Officer II, participated in the said activity. Other attendees were representatives from the five Provinces of Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and other government and private organizations.

Governor Arlene “Kaka” J. Bag-ao of PDI and Chairperson of RDC-EDC presided the said meeting.

Some of the topics discussed during the meeting were Caraga Regional Rehabilitation Program for Covid-19, Industry Cluster Report presented by DTI, Regional Multi-Sectoral Forest Protection Committee (RMFPC) Resolution No. 01, s. 2019, “A Resolution Requesting the RDC-EDC to enjoin LGUs to require business establishments which sell, import, manufacture, and deal chainsaws among others to secure a permit from the DENR and other concerned agencies prior to issuance of business permit,” and the “Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-Asa Program.”
