SOA Program on Rice Production to air in SurSur

Coordinators of the School-on-the-Air program on Rice Production in Surigao del Sur meet via internet to harmonize its implementation this July.

BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- After the meeting that was conducted by the Information Services Section of Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13, it was agreed that the airing of the School-on-the-Air (SOA) Program will be pursued in July this year.

SOA Coordinators from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) in Surigao del Sur and the participating municipalities met via Google meet on May 22, 2020.
Coordinators were briefed on their role and responsibilities in implementing the SOA program to be held in the said province. They were given the time to set the deadline for the submission of the required documents before the program starts.

The Local Government Units (LGUs) of Tandag City, Tago, Bayabas, Cagwait and Cortes, Surigao del Sur are the identified participating city/municipalities of the SOA program.

Information Services Section (ISS) Chief of ATI-Caraga Fil Victor Babanto expressed his profound gratitude to the participants at the same time SOA Coordinators for their unceasing support and dedication in serving the farmers and stakeholders amidst the threat of COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Babanto hosted and initiated the meeting to make it possible amidst this crisis that our country is facing. The SOA kits with the enrollment forms, notebooks and ballpoint pens were delivered to the OPAg-SDS a week after the meeting.
