Smart Communications, Inc. partners with ATI in order to lend cellphones to farmers.
BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Access to relevant information will be easier for farmers as Smart Communications, Inc. is set to provide them with smartphones through the newly-launched Digital Farmers Program (DFP). This initiative is in partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and is geared towards boosting farm productivity of farmers via smartphones.
Ten smartphones will be distributed in all ATI Regional Training Centers. These will be lent to farmers who do not own any by lending them the device during training sessions. They will be taught about the basics in smartphone use and access to the internet, agriculture-related applications, and social media marketing sites.
