LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- A total of thirty (30) Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) passed the national qualification for Agricultural Crops Production NC III on June 3-7, 2019. AEWs, as participants took their examination at the Caraga State University (CSU) right after they were refreshed with the topics during the Capability Enhancement which was conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 on the said dates.
This is along with an aim of enriching the AEWs with updated information and technologies on rice, and for them to be more reliable in assisting the farmers in modifying their farming decisions and practices.
Series of lectures covered insights on Transformational Leadership, Updates on the Department of Agriculture (DA) Rice Program and Mechanization Support System, and Rice Tarrification Law. Discussion on Financial Literacy and its significance together with the Agri-Fishery Credit Program of the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) are also included in the said training.
The 10-Competency Coverage of Agricultural Crops Production NC III and Assessment highlight the five-day training. Led by Violeta Laguna, Training Specialist II of ATI-Caraga as Project Officer.
Said training was held at the ATI-RTC 13 Training Hall, Los Angeles, Butuan City on June 3-7, 2019 in collaboration with the CSU as Partner-Agency of ATI-Caraga which served as the demonstration and assessment area of the participants.
