Butuan City – For the next 16 weeks starting June 11, 2021 as its official program launching, the School-on-the-Air on Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice, Seeds, and Farm Mechanization will be aired over Hope Radio Butuan 93.5 from 5:00 – 6:00 in the morning.

The SOA aims to intensify the promotion and adoption of modernized production of high-quality rice seeds and farm mechanization to the farmers and stakeholders within the municipalities of Esperanza, Sta. Josefa, La Paz, Veruela, Bunawan, Trento, Talacogon, and San Francisco.

It will be anchored by Farm Caster Joel B. Corvera of PAVO with Elena S. Bausing (Agriculturist II), Julius C. Quijada (Agriculturist II), and Jandy Eric N. Bordaje (Engineer II) as Resource Persons.

The SOA will be conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund – Rice Extension Services Program (RCEF-RESP) in partnership with the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office – Agusan del Sur.
