BRGY. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – Still identified as one of the most powerful and cheapest communication companions of the majority of farmers, the use of Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII in partnership with the Agusan del Sur Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office (PAVO) will conduct the “Okay sa OA: School on-the-Air (SOA) on Organic Agriculture (OA) Production” through the use of radio.
Said program will be participated by more than 300 individuals composed of farmers, youth, housewives, agri-enthusiasts and agricultural extension workers (AEWs) from the 13 Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province namely: Sibagat, Esperanza, Prosperidad, San Francisco, Rosario, Bunawan, Trento, Sta. Josefa, Veruela, Loreto, La Paz, Talacogon, and San Luis.
Commitments from the LGUs, roles and responsibilities of the agencies involved were discussed during its briefing on May 27, 2020 via google meet attended by Fil Victor A. Babanto - ATI-RTC XIII Information Services Section Chief, Ressell Angelie S. Fetalsana - SOA on OA In-charge, together with the provincial and municipal coordinators.
Enrollees will start to hear this program every Friday starting July 10, 2020 at 5:30 am – 6:30 am over Hope Radio Philippines Butuan (DXIM 93.5 FM) with Joel B. Corvera, Provincial Coordinator, as the anchor.
