ATI holds training on sustainable goat production

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City - The Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 currently holds training on Sustainable Goat Production under the National Livestock Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA).
Said training aims to enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills in sustainable goat production. This will run for three days from June 6-8,2018.

This is the second batch of the training which was conducted in the previous month. Farmer-leaders from the different provinces of the region are the identified participants in the said activity.

Within three days, the participants are expected to learn the status of goat industry in Caraga region. They will also know the different breeds and selection as well as the common diseases of goat and their control.

Discussion on the goat farm management is also included in the module. Farmer-leaders are also expected to develop an Action Plan as their output right after the sessions.

It will be culminated on June 8, 2018 with 30 farmer-leaders as graduates on that particular day at ATI-Training Hall, Los Angeles, Butuan City.

This is through the combined efforts between and among the local government units specifically in the Provincial Veterinary and Agriculture Offices in the region and the ATI-Caraga under the leadership of the OIC-Center Director, Mr. Samuel Calonzo.
