ATI caters AEWs for Agri Crops NC III Assessment

Training Specialist II Violeta Laguna reminds participants on the flow of the activities during the Cabability Enhancement of AEWs from June 3-7, 2019.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- In partnership with the Department of Agriculture- Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) 13, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently conducts a Capability Enhancement Course for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) with Agri Crops Production NC III from June 3-7, 2019.

Updates on the Rice program and Mechanization Support System along with the Rice Tariffication Law are among the topics to be discussed by the Resource Persons from the DA-RFO 13.

On the other hand, participants will also be updated on the Agri-Credit Programs of the DA-Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC). AEWs will also have the chance to know more about Financial Literacy and Its Significance as well as the Farm Planning and System of Rice Intensification (SRI) Technology that will be delivered by the assigned Resource Persons within the duration of the training.

Moreover, the ten (10) Competency Coverage of Agricultural Crops Production subject for NC III assessment are the following; Preparation of Land for Agricultural Crop Production, Implementation of a Post-harvest (reaping) Program, Implementation of Plant Nutrition Program, Control of Weeds, Preparation and Application of Chemicals, Establishment of Agronomic Crops, Undertake Agronomic Crop Maintenance Activities, Harvest Management, Saving, Preparation and Storage of Agricultural Seeds, and Implementation of Vertebrate Pest Control Program.

Participants will be assessed by the Accredited Assessors from the Caraga State University (CSU) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as Partner-Agencies of the ATI-RTC 13 in delivering quality extension services to the citizen-customers throughout the region.
